Getting there
About a 15-minute walk or a short auto ride.
Tradition holds that a pilgrimage to Kashi is incomplete without paying respects to Kaal Bhairav. The temple is known for the black thread (kala dhaga) tied for protection.
It is a little outside the immediate corridor, so an early auto ride works well before your Vishwanath darshan.
Local tip
Go early morning; the lane is narrow and busy by mid-day. Autos from Godowlia are inexpensive — agree the fare first.
