One of Asia’s largest residential universities, BHU has a leafy campus, the Bharat Kala Bhavan museum, and the marble New Vishwanath Temple — a calm, open contrast to the ancient corridor.
It is an easy morning outing and popular with families travelling with elders who prefer a step-free, spacious temple visit.
Local tip
The campus is large — keep your taxi for the visit or use campus e-rickshaws. The New Vishwanath Temple stays open through the day, unlike some corridor timings.
